Bruntab Energy started its activity in 2011 as the official representative of the renowned Danish company Brunata. In 2012, Bruntab transferred Sub-Metering technology to Iran for the first and only time in the country, and since then has been operating exclusively in the field of metering and separating shared water, gas, and electricity bills.

Today, the knowledge-based Bruntab Energy company is recognized as the market leader in smart separation of shared consumption bills (water, electricity, and gas) for residential, commercial, and tower complexes. Bruntab's system has reduced unit consumption by 17 to 52 percent. “In our 432-unit tower on Khalij-e Fars Street, just below the Customs Office, after installing Bruntab water sub-meters we saw about a 30% drop in the complex's water bill. In addition, every month various leaks are detected in the units, and the building manager and facilities officer watch out for abnormal water use each week. For high-consumption subscribers we also use the tiered rate of the Water and Wastewater Company to separate the water bill. Many residents are satisfied with this system and save more water so they do not appear on the high-consumption list.”

“In our office building, with more than several hundred staff, our electricity consumption was always above the set limit and the regional electricity company kept warning us about high consumption. After installing around 200 Bruntab smart miniature electricity meters on the main and essential feeders and various sections, and connecting them to the Bruntab monitoring system, we were able to track each unit's consumption on different days and hours through the reporting software. Using the consumption data of the sections, we implemented several guidelines and corrective actions, and ultimately managed to reduce electricity consumption by about 15% per year. The electricity bill went down, and instead of a warning we received a letter of appreciation from the regional electricity company. We have recently started this process on the main water feeders as well, and identifying nighttime leaks has been one of the first achievements of this plan.”

“We are one of the developers in Fardis, Karaj. In our 120-unit building we used Bruntab water and energy meters. With these meters we separate each unit's share of water, boiler gas, and chiller electricity. One day we noticed the tower's water tank was emptying. We asked Bruntab to help us find the leak. Through its software, Bruntab noticed unusually high consumption in one of the units; after informing us and visiting the unit, we found that the float valve of the Western toilet in that unit was out of adjustment and water was continuously overflowing. Results Achieved from Installing Bruntab Equipment in Iran

The knowledge-based Bruntab Energy company, by deploying more than 25,000 smart meters and remote-reading devices across over 490 projects, has been able to reduce water, gas, and electricity consumption in buildings by 17 to 52 percent. This achievement has been realized through the detection of hidden leaks, fair separation of shared consumption bills, motivating behavioral change among subscribers, recording consumption data across different sections, and identifying faults in the cooling/heating equipment of boiler rooms and refrigeration systems. For these reasons, consumption metering is mandated in Article 19, the Green Management Regulation, and ISO 50001.

How We Implement Submetering and Smart Metering Systems

Project Information and Requirements Review

We record the number of units, building use, heating and cooling systems, and the project's metering requirements. When needed, we also review MEP drawings or photos of valves and proposed installation points.

Site Survey, Feasibility and Cost Estimate

Bruntab specialists assess the technical conditions for installing meters and communication equipment. We then provide a recommended solution, required equipment list, technical proposal and project-specific quotation.

Meter Installation and Platform Commissioning

Meters are installed, wired and connected to the central device. Following configuration and functional testing, the monitoring, reporting and billing platform is commissioned and handed over.

Training, Billing and Support

Users are trained to view hourly, daily and monthly consumption, generate reports, configure alerts and issue bills. Bruntab's support team remains available throughout system operation.
