Bruntab Energy began its operations in 2011 as the official representative office of Brunata Denmark in Iran. The company's initial activities focused on importing water, heating, and cooling submeters, alongside remote telemetry systems and utility sub-billing solutions. Subsequently, in 2013, a joint cooperation between Iranian and Danish partners led to the historical transfer of technical calibration knowledge and assembly lines to Iran.
To facilitate this transition, teams of elite Iranian engineers were dispatched to Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate in Brunata's specialized training programs covering submeter installation, remote reading telemetry, and tier-based block-rate billing systems. Concurrently, Danish metrology experts frequently visited Iran to oversee calibration standards and perform periodic evaluations on reference testing equipment.
Brunata, with a remarkable 108-year history (founded in 1917) and over 24 million active devices operating worldwide, stands as a global leader in utility split-billing. Today, Bruntab Energy provides full water, gas, and electricity split-billing for multi-unit apartments, motor rooms, and central chillers. Additionally, we are highly active in the industrial sector, manufacturing cellular smart dataloggers and IoT-driven telemetry controllers. Mr. Mehdi Maragheh-ei, an alumnus with a Master's degree from Amirkabir University of Technology (Polytechnic), serves as the CEO of Bruntab Energy, pioneering modern metrology and split-billing in the region. To promote energy conservation and utility transparency, Mr. Maragheh-ei has represented Bruntab on national television and radio networks, securing top ranks in national startup contests including Midon (2020), Karoya (2021), and Maxino (2019).
